"AFRICAN PRE-CHRISTMAS MARKET"
held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Cernochov 54, at the Imbr's House.
You can look forward to an offer of African baskets, batiks, statuettes, key chains and interior decorations
from Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana and Morocco.
Small snacks and hot drinks are provided.

Dr. Marie Imbrova's Visit in Zimbabwe, November 20 - 30, 2019
From November 20 to November 30, 2019, Dr. Marie Imbrova will visit Zimbabwe and after returning back she will be looking forward to the pre-Christmas charity events. The last one will be at her home in Cernochov on December 21, 2019.

From October 17 to October 20, 2019, Dr. Marie Imbrova will reside in Marrakech. In addition to seeking after Berber jewels, she will also introduce this city to her friends who support her activities in Tengenenge.

to meet the sculptress Maudy Muhoni
on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 5 p.m.
Maudy Muhoni in Zimbabwe lives in the Tengenenge sculpture community and has been regularly coming to the Czech Republic
in recent years to sculpt statues and conduct workshops at The Dvur Kralove Safari Park during the summer holidays.
During the evening, you can learn more about the stone sculpture and also about the current daily life
and the recent political events in Zimbabwe.
During the evening, it will be possible to purchase small statues carved by Maudy
and various African handicrafts such as batiks, keychains and jewels.
The proceeds from the sale and voluntary admission will again go to education of sculptors' children

Where the first inhabitants of these islands came from, why these islands are now presented as an exotic paradise and how the tourism is reflected in the living standards of the local population. Is it possible to merge the impacts of tourism with the environmental protection? How the life has changed in the islands over the last twenty years. Can we also find Czech footsteps here?

The lecture by Dr. Marie Imbrova, African Studies Expert, on the characteristic Tuareg jewels and the quality of their production, the distinctive colors and symbolism of the Maasai jewels and their role in identifying the individual and, finally, the Ndebele ethnic jewels created under the auspices of the UNESCO. Everything is completed with individual exhibits, some of which can be purchased.

The admission is voluntary, proceeds from the admission and sale of jewels will go to the account of the non-profit organization the Tengenenge Friends Club in the Czech Republic, which financially supports education and health care for children of sculptors in the Tengenenge artistic community in Zimbabwe.
