Dr. Marie Imbrova's Visit in Ghana, November 18 - November 27, 2016

From November 18, 2016 to November 27, 2016, Dr. Marie Imbrova is on a short trip to Ghana, where she wants to become acquainted with the Krobo beads manufacturers and the organization of their sales. Naturally, she will visit also the markets with local craftsmen.

The Fundraising Auction of Dolls Made by Designers and Celebrities for UNICEF "ADOPT A DOLL AND SAVE A CHILD", The National Museum - The Czech Museum of Music, Karmelitska 2/4, Praha 1, November 15, 2016

This 14th fundraising auction of dolls of celebrities will be attended personally also by Dr. Marie Imbrova, who donated to the auction one African doll.

The doll is named Memory, originates from Malawi, where she received it as a gift from a little girl to which she paid the tuition fees for one year. It is made of blown clay and because it was owned by Dr. Marie Imbrova for ten years, she dispatches it now into the world with a copyright silver jewel, which the bidder of the doll will receive at the auction on November 15, 2016.

Dr. Marie Imbrova's Visit in Holland, October 27, 2016

On October 27, 2016, during an exchange stay of the partner towns Louny - Barendrecht, Dr. Marie Imbrova visited the studio AFRIKAAD - AFRICAN ART, where she dealt with the study of Ghanaian realities, she picked up bronze artifacts and cooperated with the studio co-owner on the composition of necklaces of indigenous elements "trade beads" from the 19th century.

In the days July 23 to July 31, 2016, in the Dvur Kralove ZOO will be held the Festival "AFRICA LIVE" full of music and dance performances, attractive storytelling, African dishes, African art and nostalgic air cinemas.

The Tengenenge Friends Club in the Czech Republic will be present at the Festival throughout the whole venue. While Dr. Marie Imbrova will attend the Festival in person on July 28 and July 29, 2016.

On July 29, 2016 from 04:00 pm in the Karen Coffee Shop, Dr. Marie Imbrova will give her lecture on "HOW IS LIFE IN ZIMBABWE AND TENGENENGE"

"ATTRACTIVENESS OF SENEGAL"

Marie Imbrova, the African Studies Expert, will share with us her experiences from her trips into the Senegal history and jewellery. Together, we shall visit Dakar, the capital of Senegal, and the town of Saint-Louis. We shall learn more about the island of Gorée, which was a place of gathering slaves before their transfer to America.

We shall visit the local markets in which the lecturer looks for authentic African jewels.
They will be on display and for sale.
Admission 40 CZK, children free.
